Web Series Production Course

At Southside Performance Studio, we're dedicated to providing our students with the skills and experience they need to succeed in the dynamic world of screen acting. Our Web Series Production Course offers a unique opportunity for intermediate actors to dive deeper into their craft and explore the intricacies of acting for web-based series.

About the Course

The Web Series Production Course is designed for students who have completed our three fundamental courses as well as the Short Film Production Course. Building upon the foundation laid in these courses, students will have the chance to act in original scripts alongside other talented actors, all while adhering to professional production standards.

Course Structure

• Rehearsals: Throughout the course, students will participate in two rehearsal sessions, each lasting 2 hours. These sessions are held at fixed times every week, allowing students to collaborate closely with their peers and instructors in a small group setting. During rehearsals, students will receive expert coaching to refine their performances and prepare for filming.

• Filming: The course also includes two filming sessions, each lasting 2 hours. The students are put in a real film set situation, and are expected to perform as if on a professional set. Student’s performance is monitored on several points for feedback after the course.
  

Eligibility

To enrol in the Web Series Production Course, students must have successfully completed our three fundamental courses: the Acting Foundation Course, Stage Acting Course, and Screen Acting Course. Additionally, completion of the Short Film Production Course is required to ensure students have the necessary experience and skills for this intermediate-level course.

Course Goals

• Collaborate effectively with fellow actors in a web series format.

• Cultivate confidence and versatility as a performer.
  

Course Requirements

This course is exclusively available to students who have completed our three fundamental courses and the Short Film Production Course. Additionally, students must pass an audition process to demonstrate their readiness for the challenges of the Web Series Production Course.

Final Product

Upon completion of the filming and editing process, the web series will be available for streaming on Southside Performance Studio’s YouTube Channel. This final product showcases the talent and dedication of our students and provides valuable material for their acting portfolios.

Fees & Scheduling

The fee for this course is £150. It includes the writing of an original script, two coaching sessions, two filming sessions and editing.
