Feature Film Production Course

At Southside Performance Studio, we're dedicated to nurturing the talents of aspiring actors. Our Feature Film Production Course offers an advanced opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the art of filmmaking and showcase their skills on the big screen.

About the Course

The Feature Film Production Course is designed for students who have completed our three fundamental courses, as well as the Short Film Production Course. Building upon the knowledge and experience gained in these courses, students will have the opportunity to act in an original script alongside other talented actors, all while adhering to professional production standards.

Course Structure

• Rehearsal and Coaching: Throughout the course, students will participate in two rehearsal sessions, each lasting 1 hour. These sessions are scheduled at flexible times to accommodate students' busy schedules. During rehearsals, students will receive expert coaching to refine their performances and prepare for filming.

• Filming Sessions: Following the rehearsal period, students will film their scenes for the feature film alongside their co-stars on scheduled shoot dates. This hands-on experience allows students to apply their skills in a real-world production environment.
  

Eligibility

To enroll in the Feature Film Production Course, students must have successfully completed our three fundamental courses: the Acting Foundation Course, Stage Acting Course, and Screen Acting Course. Additionally, completion of the Short Film Production Course is required to ensure students have the necessary experience and skills for this advanced-level course.

Course Requirements

This course is exclusively available to students who have completed our three fundamental courses, as well as the Short Film Production Course. Additionally, students must pass an audition process to demonstrate their readiness for the challenges of the Feature Film Production Course.

Final Product

Upon completion of filming and editing, the feature film will be premiered at a major cinema in Glasgow, offering students the opportunity to see their work on the big screen. Additionally, the film will be available for streaming on various platforms, including Vimeo and Prime Video, reaching audiences worldwide.

Fees & Scheduling

The fee for this course is £250. It includes the writing of an original script, four coaching sessions, filming and editing.
