Studio Conduct & Professional Etiquette

SPS operates as a professional creative studio.
Everyone working here is expected to treat the space, the work, and each other accordingly.

These guidelines exist to maintain focus, safety, and a serious working environment.

  • SPS is not a casual drop-in space.

    We expect:

    • punctuality

    • preparedness

    • respect for the work in progress

Disruptive behaviour, repeated lateness, or lack of engagement affects the entire studio and will be addressed

  • Sessions start on time.

    Arriving late:

    • disrupts the work

    • affects other performers

    • limits your own progress

If you arrive late, you may be asked to observe rather than participate. Repeated lateness may result in removal from the programme.

  • Participants are expected to:

    • arrive mentally and physically ready to work

    • have any required material prepared

    • engage fully in the session

This is not a passive learning environment.

  • Phones should be:

    • switched off

    • or kept out of sight

Recording is only permitted with explicit permission from SPS staff and all participants involved.

  • The studio is a working environment.

    Please:

    • keep the space clean

    • respect equipment and props

    • follow any safety instructions

Damage caused through misuse or negligence may be charged.

  • SPS is built on trust and professional collaboration.

    We do not tolerate:

    • disrespectful behaviour

    • intimidation

    • inappropriate physical or verbal conduct

    • discriminatory language or actions

Any concerns should be raised privately with SPS staff.

  • By enrolling at SPS, you are committing to:

    • consistent attendance

    • professional standards

    • taking responsibility for your own development

If you are unable to meet this commitment, SPS may recommend an alternative entry point or pause participation.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you have booked a course, programme, or service and change your mind, you must notify us by email at least 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled start date to be eligible for a refund.

  • Online bookings: refunds are processed within 5–10 working days, minus a management fee (covering payment provider and website costs).

  • Bank transfer payments: eligible refunds will be processed within 24 hours in full.

Refunds will not be issued once a course, service, or lesson has started, or if it has been partially delivered.

If SPS is unable to run a course or part of a course, an appropriate refund will be issued.

Rescheduling Sessions

If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson or session, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are forfeited.

This policy exists to ensure fairness and to allow other performers access to limited studio time.

Additional Needs & Access

SPS is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive professional environment.

If you have a learning disability or any additional need that may affect your experience in the studio, it is essential that you inform us before starting a course or programme.

This allows us to:

  • prepare appropriately

  • support you effectively

  • ensure a productive experience for everyone involved

If an additional need cannot be adequately supported within a group setting, we may recommend the same training in a one-to-one format with a trained coach, where possible.
